Pinch has announced an all-vinyl label focusing on "new movements in the ever evolving UK hardcore continuum" - hear a taster of it inside.
Pinch has been a pretty vital part of the dubstep community, both as a producer and DJ, and as head of Tectonic and Earwax. He can now add another job to his CV as the head honcho of Cold Recordings, a vinyl-only imprint focusing on “new movements in the ever evolving UK hardcore-continuum—taking inspirational vibrations from a long standing heritage that ran through acid house, hardcore, jungle, UK garage, dubstep and beyond”, according to Resident Advisor.)
The label will be inaugurated by a two-track 12” from Cardiff producer Elmono. You can stream an all-vinyl mix showcasing the label’s sound (including forthcoming releases) below. Some of the tags are pretty telling: “cold”, “techno” and “130BPM” should give a hint of what’s to come.
