Psyched out reggae mix from Californian band we're psyched about.
Psychedelic dub pop husband-wife duo Peaking Lights (real names Aaron Coyes and Indra Dunis) have recently made a new mix from their deep record collection. This Mixed Up Mixxx (listen below) is 85 minutes of pure dubbed-out and groovy reggae, smooth African rhythms and Latin beats.
It might be one of the most psyched out mixes you’ll ever listen to, with Aaron claiming its about: “less cocaine, more weed, a sustained orgasm, maintaining 100% creative control, late hot summer nights, come down chill room and low lit zone, lazer light show, smoke machines, being naked and watching the sun rise.”
In other Peaking Lights news, Domino have recently announced that the band have signed to Weird World, an imprint of Domino run by Jack Shankly, and their highly acclaimed, Not Not Fun-released ‘936’ album will see a re-release in 2012 (incidentally, one of our albums-of-2011 so far). The duo will also play at London’s Plastic People on the 6th December. Get your tickets here. The night is promoted by Feeding Time, who originally posted this mix.
