Stream King Britt's 'Afrofuturism' mix

Philadelphia’s King Britt has made a great mix – or, in his terms, “a sonic journey” – dedicated to Afrofuturism. Britt defines Afrofuturism as a term to describe the work of “Afro American musicians who embrace Science Fiction, realities of space and time, and who tend to look at other worlds, comic books, and that sort of thing, as a way of escape.” The mix opens with a brief interview with Tracy Tanenbaum before moving on to space age selections including Flying Lotus, Sun Ra, Zomby and A Guy Called Gerald.
