This year, the discussion surrounding music has been less about the music itself and more about the method of delivery. You have the endless, endless 'debate' around Spotify, TIDAL, and Apple Music. You have surprise releases upon surprise releases from artists like Drake, Kendrick Lamar, A$AP Rocky, Tyler, The Creator, and Earl Sweatshirt. And you have a different sort of surprise release in the unwelcome early leaking of Björk's 'Vulnicura'.

Yet the reason these records all stick around long after the discussion has died down is for the simple fact that the music is good. Now that we're six months into 2015, we've picked 20 of our favourite albums to have landed so far. We'd imagine that some of these will be in our favourite albums of the year list come December.
